 On holiday in Turkey, Mark Jackson visits Troy and finds a yellow stone which seems to have special powers. The Jackson family are on holiday in Turkey. One day they were visiting the city of Troy by bus. They all had lunch after that, Jackson rested under the tree. He found something. It was a flat, yellow stone. When he picked it, there was a white light in his eyes. Ten seconds later, he opened his eyes and found that he was on a beach. He noticed that he time-traveled into the ancient period. Hannah works for old Mr Duval on his boat. They take tourists to visit the coral reef. But someone is trying to destroy their business. The hurricane begins and Hannah risks her life to get to the truth. Hannah was on holiday from school so working for Mr Duval. He took people to look at the beautiful fish and the coral reef under the sea by his boat. However, one day the big boat appeared and more people got on that boat. Hannah noticed that the big boat was Max Marker's, who is the richest person on the island. He tried to stop Mr Duval's boat.  The weeks went by. The hurricane hit the island. Hannah went to Max Marker's house after the rain stopped. Then she saw his house was gone! Max Marker was inside the house but he couldn't move. She helped him but he was very weak. He suggested her that he gave her something but she refused.  I really liked Hannah! She always thought of Mr Duval. Moreover, money is not important to her. If I were Hannah, I would get money from

Jake sees a tall beautiful girl at the carnival in London. Their eyes meet and she smiles at him. He realised this is a love! Jake was in London. And he was going to Notting Hill to see the carnival. He saw a tall girl, Maria. Their eyes met and she smiled at him. At that time, he noticed that it was love! Maria's float was moving down the street so he was chasing it. However, he couldn't communicate with her because of noises and music. He found a camera on the table. He wanted photos of her, so he took it. He took many photos of Maria.  The tourist found a policeman. His camera was stolen. Policeman found James. He took the tourist's camera. Policeman took James to the police station. Policeman found the photo which James took and he was surprised. The woman of the photo was a policewoman!  James was a little selfish, I think. Kim's father takes her to the athletics club every week. She runs fast and she wins competitions. Her father is happy. But Kim is only sixteen.  Kim could run very fast. Her teacher advised het to join the Athletics Club. Her father allowed her to go there. After six weeks, she decided to go to the competition. Her friend Hannah asked her to go shopping on the same day, but she chose going to the competition. She won the one race at the competition. She trained harder to win more races. Her father always went with her. However, she noticed that she only went to the club and never went out with her friends. Moreover, she had an important exam in the summer. She also became to like one boy, Curtis. He asked her to go to the disco at the night before the important competition. Her father got angry because of her decision. He looked Kim's trophies and photos every day though she quitted the Club. I was disappointed with Kim's choice of quitting the club. I think she had better

  Gisela and Ricardo were going to their home town, Rio de Janeiro. Gisela liked reading and quiet people. However, Ricardo likes noise... Gisela was going home to Rio de Janeiro from London. She put her things, such as her clothes and a manuscript in her travel bag. She wrote her first book so the manuscript was very important to her.  Ricardo was a student and going to Rio de Janeiro from London. He found a pretty girl, Gisela near his airplane seat. Suddenly his bag fell on the Gisela. It knocked the book from her hands. She was annoyed.  Many hours later, the airplane arrived at Rio de Janeiro airport. They got off the airplane and waited for their bags. She got the bag quickly not to be  followed by him. However, the bag which she got was Ricardo's one. Ricardo noticed that and followed her.  Gisela caught the bus. She slept on the bus. The strange man took the bag and ran. She noticed that and ran after the man. But she couldn't find him so walked to her home. Ricardo was

  James and Chantal decided to go to the Blue Cat Club at the evening.  They went into the Blue Cat Club and got a good table at the front. Suddenly the music stopped and the magic show started. The man of magic did several magics and Chantal liked them. However, James didn't like him because he touched Chantal too friendly.  Next, the man of magic asked James to be a volunteer of a magic. And James got into the box and the ,magic man pushed the swords slowly into a hole of the box. Then when he pushed the last sword into the hole, James said "Aaaaaagh!". The magic man smiled but he seemed to be unhappy. Then he open the door of the box. James in the box was not moving and his shirt was red. Suddenly James smiled the magic man. In his hands, he had a bottle of tomato juice. The people laughed at him and the show was over. I got  goosebumps by the last scene. Chantal says to James, "You're always my Mr. Magic...". I couldn't like them for some reasons.  [

The children's mother wanted to see Swan Lake but she couldn't book the tickets. So the children decided to do their own ballet.  Ben, Jojo, Sam, Mouse, their mother and their father watched the TV. It showed Swan Lake at the Playhouse. They had not knew the ballet before, but they, except Mouse,  wanted to go there. Their father called to book the tickets but he couldn't. So children decided to cheer her mother up by putting on Swan Lake.  However, Ben and Mouse didn't like the sad ballet so they decided to do a duck ballet! Then they set to work. They were wearing yellow clothes and duck masks and appeared in front of their mother and father. They started dancing and said "Quacky quacky!" instead of talking. Their mother and father really enjoyed it and clapped.  I really like this book! The children are considerate and enjoyed the preparation. I felt the importance of family.
